Abysmal support. Can log in on a laptop but never mobile. Sometimes it looks like it will connect but it isn't. They have something going on with releasing active accounts which I suspect is the problem - if you are logged in elsewhere they do not kill that login and restart with the new device. I get why single login makes sense, but you have to set it up right! Months of being locked out of mobile. Frustrating, and I am writing this after another purge and cache clear and app reinstall.

paid for a promotional subscription like $3.60 a month. No option to cancel before promotion and ended. Got billed $36 today (10x) contacted immediately and was told sorry about your luck but you aren't getting the $36 back. unacceptable increase and lack of ability to cancel in a timely way. edit re reply - to be clear I'm not suggesting otherwise. it wasn't clear before I was billed this was the payment increase. It increased this morning and I contacted immediately. $4 a month to $36

Don't bother installing the app!!! You still need to pay a subscription price, if not they don't let you read the article you went to look for, They block it! The app shouldn't demand a paid subscription as they have Several Ads on the app That Pays Them, They just want to take money from both ends 🤨 You may as well just Google the story you'd like to read about. Other than that I really don't mind The Globe & Mail news, which seems to have a variety of news articles.
